RFK, a new biography of Robert F. Kennedy written and directed by David Grubin for American Experience, takes as its theme lines from Aeschylus that Kennedy could recite from memory: "He who learns must suffer." This program looks at his remarkable and tragic life and the pivotal roles he played in many of the major events that defined the 1960s including the Cuban Missile Crisis, the civil rights movement, and the war in Vietnam.
