For four decades, Edward William Shore was "Mr. Hockey" and his Springfield Indians ruled the ice at the Eastern States Coliseum. Shore led the team with a revolutionary coaching style developed during his years as a feared defenseman with the Boston Bruins. He brought excitement, controversy and three consecutive Calder Cup winning seasons to western Massachusetts.
